ダイビングスポットとして有名で、ダイビング・シュノーケリングなどが楽しめるほか、南国リゾート気分も満喫♪
今回は、プライベートリゾートとして素敵なラチャ島（ラヤ島）への行き方から、楽しめるポイントを紹介します。

This time, I will introduce how to get to the lovely private resort of Racha Island (Raya Island) and highlight some enjoyable points.
ラチャ諸島 Racha Islands
Koh Racha Yai | Koh Racha Noi
タイ・プーケットからスピードボートで約４０分！
タイのプーケット南沖約２０kmに位置しているラチャ諸島のラチャ島（ラヤ島）。
「Koh Racha Yai | ラチャヤイ」と「Koh Racha Noi | ラチャノイ」の２つの島から成る離島です。
この２つの大きな島の方を「ラチャヤイ島（大きな王様の島）」、小さな島の方を「ラチャノイ島（小さな王様の島）」と呼ばれ、「ラチャ島」または「ラヤ島」とも呼ばれています。

It’s about a 40-minute speedboat ride from Phuket, Thailand!
Located about 20 km south of Phuket, the Racha Islands consist of Racha Island (Raya Island).
This archipelago includes two islands: “Koh Racha Yai” and “Koh Racha Noi”.
The larger of the two is called “Racha Yai Island” (the island of the great king), and the smaller is called “Racha Noi Island” (the island of the small king), both of which are also referred to as “Racha Island” or “Raya Island.”

Racha Island | ラチャ島
プーケットから近場で気軽に行ける離島として人気です。
ラチャ島（ラヤ島）の海は透明度が高く、サラサラな白砂のビーチはプーケット近郊では一番の美しさ。
青い海に真っ白なビーチは、まさに南国のリゾートアイランドです。
さらに、ラチャ島（ラヤ島）周辺にはいくつものダイビングポイントが点在し、ダイビングはもちろんのこと、シュノーケリングやフィッシングが楽しめるのも魅力のひとつです。
It’s a popular nearby island that can be easily accessed from Phuket. The sea around Racha Island (Raya Island) has high transparency, and its fine white sand beach is the most beautiful in the Phuket area. The combination of the blue sea and white beach makes it a true tropical resort island. Furthermore, there are numerous diving spots around Racha Island (Raya Island), making it an attractive destination for diving, snorkeling, and fishing.

パトックビーチ（島の西側）
地図を上から見るとくぼみのあるビーチ。
有名なリゾートホテル「The Racha（ザ・ラチャ）」のリゾートが正面左側へ広がり、とても人気のビーチです。
売店やちょっとしたレストラン、トイレ（有料）があり、数多くの観光客が訪れています。
プーケットからの日帰りツアーも多く出ている一番賑やかなビーチ。
PATOK BEACH (on the west side of the island)
From a top-down view of the map, it appears as an indented beach.
The famous resort hotel “The Racha” extends to the left of the beach’s front, making it a very popular beach.
There are shops, small restaurants, and paid restrooms, and many tourists visit the area.
It is the busiest beach with many day trips available from Phuket.
柔らかな白砂のビーチが美しく、ビューポイントからはパトックビーチの絶景も堪能できるリゾートビーチ。
広い敷地のリゾートホテル「The Racha（ザ・ラチャ）」が、左側沿いに続きます。

ツアーに組み込まれているランチ会場へ移動
Next, move to the lunch venue included in the tour.
ランチ会場までは、ホテルと売店の間の歩道を上がった先にトゥクトゥクの様なトラックに乗り移動しました。「The Racha（ザ・ラチャ）」のエリアを抜けた裏側。島の中央部分への移動ですが、まだ未開拓エリアで何もありません。そんな中、いきなりポツンと休憩所（食堂）が現れる感じですw。
To reach the lunch venue, we took a tuk-tuk-like truck after walking up the path between the hotel and the shops. The route passes through the back of “The Racha” area.
We moved towards the central part of the island, which is still undeveloped and has nothing around. Amidst this, a solitary rest area (dining hall) suddenly appears out of nowhere, making for quite an unexpected sight.
お味は、まあまあ。意外と辛いといったお料理ばかりが並ぶわけではなく、ライスなど普通にピラフのようなチャーパンのような。焼きそばはオイスターソースではなく、なんだか甘いソースでした。あとは、チキンの揚げた様なものやスープなど。パクチーなどが苦手な私は、臭みがなければ比較的OK。
The taste is so-so. Surprisingly, not all the dishes are spicy; there are options like rice, similar to pilaf or fried rice. The yakisoba noodles are not in oyster sauce but rather a somewhat sweet sauce. There are also dishes like fried chicken and soup. For someone like me who dislikes cilantro, as long as there isn’t a strong smell, the food is relatively okay.
道中、ワニ？？オオトカゲ？？のような生き物にも遭遇する未開拓地です。
On the way, we encountered creatures that looked like crocodiles or large lizards in this undeveloped area.
ランチ休憩後再びビーチへ。
After our lunch break, we returned to the beach.
ホテル内のビーチチェアなどの設備は、宿泊者しか利用ができません。
The beach chairs and other facilities within the hotel are only available to guests.
ビーチは、次々に来るボートで溢れ返ってます。
1日に何隻も訪れているのに、整った環境の綺麗なビーチ。海も透明度が高いままです。
The beach is crowded with boats arriving one after another.
Despite the many daily visits, the beach remains well-maintained and clean, with high water transparency.
訪れる人は多いのですが、暑さのため日陰へ避難している人が多い。
美しさはもちろん、ヨットやボートなどを眺めるとクルージングリゾート地へ来た実感が沸きます。
タイの中でも南側で美しいコバルトグリーンの透明度の高いビーチが望めます。
Although there are many visitors, many people seek shade due to the heat.
The beauty of the beach, combined with the sight of yachts and boats, gives a real sense of being at a cruising resort.
Even in Thailand, the southern beaches offer stunning cobalt green waters with high transparency.
5つのビーチ
ラチャヤイ島には５つのビーチがあります。
今回、私が訪れたラチャヤイのビーチはパトックビーチだけでしたが、
ラチャには５つの素敵なビーチが存在しているので時間があればぜひ他も訪れてね♡
「パトックビーチ」（島の西側）
有名なリゾートホテル「The Racha（ザ・ラチャ）」が目の前にあり、くぼみのある人気ビーチ！
「サムアイビーチ」（島の北側）
綺麗な木陰があり、静かで落ち着いた雰囲気のビーチ。
パトックビーチから徒歩で１０分ほどのところ。
ビーチの目の前には有名なリゾートホテル「Rayaburi Resort（ラヤブリ・リゾート）」があります。
静かなで綺麗な白砂のビーチは、ビーチで寛ぐには最適なスポットです！
「ラービーチ」「タービーチ」（島の東側）
ともにはシュノーケリングポイントとして有名なビーチ！
岩場が多いですが、綺麗な砂浜が広がる小さめのビーチです。
「コンケービーチ」（島の南側）
絶好のシュノーケリングポイント。
島沿いに「Ban Raya Resort and Spa（バン・ラヤ・リゾート＆スパ）」があります。
５つのビーチの中でも一番海が綺麗と言われています。
どのビーチも透明度はかなり高くシュノーケリングをはじめ、白砂のビーチで寛いだりすることができます。
Five Beaches
Racha Yai Island has five beaches. This time, I only visited Patok Beach, but there are five wonderful beaches on Racha Island, so if you have time, be sure to visit the others too♡
1. Patok Beach (on the west side of the island)
This popular beach features the famous resort hotel “The Racha” right in front of it, and has an indented shape!
2. Samai Beach (on the north side of the island)
With beautiful shade and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, it is about a 10-minute walk from Patok Beach. The well-known resort hotel ”Rayaburi Resort” is right in front of this beach. The quiet and clean white sand beach is perfect for relaxing!
3.4. Lha Bay and Ter Bay (on the east side of the island)
Both are famous snorkeling points! Though rocky, these smaller beaches have beautiful stretches of sand.
5. Kon Kare Bay (on the south side of the island)
An excellent snorkeling point, with “Ban Raya Resort and Spa” along the island. It is said to be the most beautiful of the five beaches.
All these beaches have very high water transparency, making them great for snorkeling, relaxing on the white sand, and enjoying the serene beauty.

海の底には真っ白なきめ細かな砂に美しいサンゴ礁、そのサンゴに群がるカラフルな可愛いお魚さん達と出会えます。
温暖な気候と豊かな自然が作り上げた軌跡の光景は珊瑚のおかげ♪
私が潜る時は基本フリースタイルで、今回も自分のフィンを持って泳いできました。
危ないことのないようにボートから離れたところまでは行きません。
また、海の中を潜るときは荒らすことのないよう危険なく泳いでくださいね。
Swim freely and feel like a mermaid in the world’s wide and beautiful ocean♪
Beneath the sea lies fine white sand and beautiful coral reefs, where you can encounter colorful and adorable fish swarming around the coral.
The spectacle of the coral is thanks to the warm climate and abundant nature creating its traces♪
When I dive, I typically use the freestyle method, and this time, I brought my own fins and swam away from the boat so I wouldn’t do anything dangerous.
ラチャ島近郊の海は、透明度が高く一年中暖かい海水のため、美しい珊瑚礁に囲まれた海では世界で最も優雅な海洋生物たちを見ることができます。南のアンダマン海では、カクレクマノミをはじめカラフルな熱帯魚たちに、大物としてはレオパードシャーク、ジンベイザメ、マンタ、ウミガメ、バラクーダ、カクレクマノミ、ゴーストパイプフィッシュ、ハーレクインシュリンなど様々な海洋生物にで出会えます。
The waters near Racha Island boast high clarity and warm temperatures year-round, creating a beautiful environment surrounded by stunning coral reefs where you can witness some of the world’s most graceful marine creatures. In the southern Andaman Sea, you can encounter various marine life including colorful tropical fish like clownfish, as well as larger species such as leopard sharks, whale sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, barracudas, ghost pipefish, and harlequin shrimp.
ラチャ島（ラヤ島）｜おすすめの時期
季節に関わらず年間を通してダイビングやシュノーケリングができます。
・おすすめの時期：乾季（１２月〜４月頃）天候は安定。波がとても穏やかで海の透明度も高い。
・雨季（５月～１０月）島の東側
・乾季（１１月～４月）は島の西側
雨季の時期：モンスーン（季節風）の影響で波が荒くなり、１日に何度もスコールが降るため海の透明度が落ちます。
ラチャヤイ島ツアーでは、乾季は「パトックビーチ」や「サイアムビーチ」、雨季は「タービーチ」に訪れることが多い。

Racha Island (Raya Island) | Recommended Season:
Year-round Diving and Snorkeling
- Dry Season (December to April): The weather is stable, the waves are very calm, and the sea has high transparency.
- Rainy Season (May to October): The eastern side of the island.
- Dry Season (November to April): The western side of the island.
Rainy Season:
Due to the influence of the monsoon (seasonal winds), the waves become rough, and heavy downpours occur multiple times a day, reducing the sea’s transparency.
During the Racha Yai Island tours, visitors often go to “Patok Beach” and “Siam Beach” in the dry season, while in the rainy season, “Ter Beach” is a more common destination.
The points and beaches visited vary depending on the season.

岩場や珊瑚でできたビーチではマリンシューズが必須アイテム！ 私のはピンクのラインが入ったマリンシューズです♪ 砂場のビーチではサンダルですが、海に入る際はこちらに履き替えます。自分の足を守るだけでなく、沖縄のサンゴ礁を傷つけない為にも履くようにしましょう！
At rocky or coral beaches, marine shoes are a must-have item! Mine has pink stripes on them. While sandals are fine on sandy beaches, I switch to these shoes when entering the sea. Not only do they protect my feet, but they also help preserve Okinawa’s coral reefs by avoiding any damage.

せっかくならシュノーケルをして綺麗な珊瑚とお魚に出会いましょう。塩水は目に入るととても痛いので海を入る際はマスクが必須です。マスクは曇り止めをしてこまめにして状態を良くしておきましょう。
Why not enjoy snorkeling to encounter beautiful corals and fish? Since saltwater in the eyes can be quite painful, wearing a mask is essential when entering the sea. Keep the mask defogged regularly to ensure clear visibility.

立ち泳ぎだけでは物足りないならフィンをつけて泳いでみて♪深い海でも浅い海でも、フィンがあればスムーズに潜ることができます。初心者にも嬉しい美しい珊瑚やお魚に簡単に触れることができます。
If you find just treading water isn’t enough excitement, try swimming with fins! Whether in deep or shallow waters, fins allow for smooth diving. You can easily explore and interact with beautiful corals and fish.
帰国当日にダイビングは控えてね！
ダイビング終了後、体内の窒素が抜けるまで標高の高い所へはいかないで下さい。最低18時間・推奨24時間は飛行機への搭乗はできません。
Please refrain from diving on the day of your return home!
After diving, do not go to high-altitude places until the nitrogen in your body has dissipated. You should wait a minimum of 18 hours, preferably 24 hours, before boarding a plane.
