東マレーシア ボルネオ島 のコタキナバルへ来ました。
今回選んだホテル Hilton Kota Kinabalu での過ごし方を紹介します♡
Terrace seats
好きな席を自由に選べて、屋外バーを活用してお食事を楽しめるテラス席。
Choose your favorite seat freely and enjoy your meal on the terrace, making the most of the outdoor bar.
Pool
パティオ風の空間に作られ広々としたプール。
日中は太陽の下でおもいきり泳ぎ、夜はブルーの照明で落ち着いた雰囲気を。
お子様用の浅いプールと大人用の深いプールに分かれています。
A spacious pool designed in a patio-style space.
During the day, swim to your heart’s content under the sun, and in the evening, enjoy a calm atmosphere with blue lighting.
It is divided into a shallow pool for children and a deep pool for adults.
プールサイドにはガラス張りのレストランが併設。
天気のいい時には素敵な景色を楽しめます。
The restaurant with glass walls is attached. On sunny days, you can enjoy a wonderful view.

Fitness
別フロアには24時間フィットネスルームも完備。
窓側のランニングマシーンは外の景色を見ることができ、
半面以上がガラス張りのためトレーニング姿を確認しながらウェイトトレーニングができます。
On a separate floor, there is also a 24-hour fitness room.
The treadmills by the windows allow you to enjoy the outdoor scenery,
and the area with over half of the walls covered in glass lets you monitor your workout while doing weight training.
Room
お部屋は広々としており、長いテーブルとは別に小さな丸テーブルとソファ、ミニバーカウンターがあります。
ガラス越しのバスルームとパウダールームにトイレット。（客室ランクが上だとバスタブも付いてます。）
ダブルベッドは高く弾力がありクイーンサイズなので快適です♪
The room is spacious and features a small round table and a sofa in addition to a long table and a mini bar counter.
There is a toilet in both the glass-enclosed bathroom and the powder room.
If you have a higher room category, it also comes with a bathtub.
The double bed is elevated, has good resilience, and is queen-sized, providing a comfortable stay! 🛏️

通常のディナーメニューにビュッフェもついてるお得なメニューでした。
全てのお料理が美味しくて◎♡
現地のお料理に不安がある人はホテルでのお食事をおすすめします。
I enjoyed a buffet at the hotel’s lounge ♡
It was a great deal with the regular dinner menu including the buffet.
All the dishes were delicious and highly recommended for those who may have concerns about local cuisine.
メインメニュー以外にビュッフェが楽しめます。
サラダやお寿司、スープにデザートまで。
You can enjoy a buffet in addition to the main menu. From salads and sushi to soups and desserts.
ホテルはとても素晴らしく、最初から最後まで親切なスタッフが多いです。
周辺情報はホテルコンシェルジェに聞くのもお勧め♡
ドアマンの方も、英語で丁寧な対応をしてくれます。

About the area around the hotel.
ヒルトンホテルはコタキナバル市内中心部にあり、周りにはショッピングモールがいくつもあります。
「Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal（ジェッセルトン）」やまで車でおよそ5分以内。
The Hilton Hotel is located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu city, with several shopping malls in the vicinity.
The “Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal” and “Jesselton Duty Free” are both within a 5-minute drive.
The shopping mall I visited this time.（今回私が利用したショッピングモール）
★Suria Sabah Shopping Mall（スリア サバ）
ジェッセルトン・ポイントから海沿いに徒歩10分。KKでも新しく高級店も入っています。
OPEN：AM10:00〜PM22:00 5floor building
A 10-minute walk along the waterfront from Jesselton Point. There are also new high-end shops in KK.
★Jesselton Duty Free
ジェッセルトン船着場横 KK初の免税店です。
Located next to Jesselton Jetty, it is the first duty-free store in KK.
For locals.（ローカル向けなら。）
★Wisma Merdeka（ウィスマ・ムルデカ）
KKで1番古いショッピングモールでレトロな感じです。両替所の数が多くレートがとってもいい。
It’s the oldest shopping mall in KK and has a retro vibe.
There are many currency exchange counters, and the exchange rates are very favorable.
★KK Plaza（KKプラザ）
日用品が買える地元で行きやすいショッピングモール。ばらまき土産が購入できます。
A locally accessible shopping mall where you can buy everyday items. You can also purchase souvenirs for distribution.
★Pusat Membeli-Belah Imago（イマゴショッピングモール）
観光客向けのショッピングモール。ローカルの中でも外国人客が行きやすいです。
A shopping mall targeted at tourists, and even among the locals, it’s easy for foreign visitors to access.
★Centre Point Sabah（センター・ポイント）
地元でも若い層が多く賑わっていますが、外国人はスリにあったりとちょっと危険かも。
It’s bustling with a young crowd, even among the locals, but it might be a bit risky for foreigners due to incidents in the area.
★Oceanus Waterfront Mall（オセアナス・ウォーターフロント・モール）
景色の良いお食事ができますが、現在は閑散としておりお店がほとんどクローズしています。
You can enjoy a meal with a great view, but currently, it’s quite quiet, and most of the shops are closed.
For market.(伝統工芸品や手作りマーケット。)
★Handicraft Market（ハンディクラフト マーケット）
If you want to experience a different atmosphere from the shopping malls, head to the market that sells traditional crafts and handmade items.
他にも、夜市の屋外市場がたくさん立ち並んでいます。
個人的には、衛生面や匂い等でアウトでした。。。
地元を満喫したい！という方はぜひチャレンジしてみてください♪
In addition, there are many outdoor night markets in the area.
Personally, I found them a bit off-putting due to hygiene and odors.
If you want to truly immerse yourself in the local experience, by all means, give it a try!

East Malaysia
ボルネオ島にある東マレーシア（マレーシア領土）のサバ州とサラワク州、ラブアン。
南シナ海を隔て反対側にある首都クアラルンプールを半島の西マレーシアと呼びます。
サバ州の州都はコタキナバルとされ、マレーシア国内に置いても高度な自治権を有し、州外への行き来には、マレーシア国民であっても身分証明書（MyKadと呼ばれる国民身分証）いわゆるパスポートが必要となります。
西の州都はクアラルンプール。
西より東は人口が少ないですが領域は広く、マレーシア人が多くいます。
西と東の行き来を空港では「半島行き」と示されてます。
日本からの直行便はクアラルンプールとサバ州のコナキタバル（マレーシア航空のみ）が出ています。
